Summary:

The HR Intern will be responsible for 2-3 HR-focused projects over a 12-week internship. Examples of projects may include analyzing leave and absence trends across the workforce while developing solutions to reduce absenteeism, creating an employee recognition program to increase engagement, or developing a framework for early-career employee development for different functional areas. This role will also participate in the day-today operations of the corporate HR team and gain exposure to different sub functions within HR such as Talent Management, Benefits, Payroll and Employee Relations. This HR Internship will allow you to hone analytical and strategic thinking skills while working on immersive and challenging projects. You will experience day-to-day work as an HR team member, gain exposure to cross-functional teams, senior management, and learn more about how a mid-cap consumer packaged goods company operates and the role HR plays in enabling business success. You will gain critical real-world experience with HR analytics, systems, and processes as a member of the corporate HR team. You will also report directly to the Chief HR Officer of the company and benefit from senior-level coaching and mentoring.


Essential duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with data gathering and analysis for strategic projects related to HR Analytics, Total Rewards, and Talent Management.
  • Capstone Presentation: You will present an overview of your projects and recommendations to the executive leadership team of the company at the conclusion of your internship.
  • Participate in HR team meetings and events with other interns
  • Meet regularly with your manager to review progress with your projects.
  • Participate in various HR processes like interviews, on-boarding, vendor meetings to get a broad exposure to different aspects of a career in HR

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline with a target graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to champion ideas and concepts across all levels of an organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office suite are essential
  • Experience in building and delivering presentations
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and shift priorities in a fast -paced environment with ambiguity
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize work initiatives, collaborate and drive for results
