Job Description

The Intern, Data Software Engineer is responsible for investing and resolving new and complex technical issues in Infinite Campus production and deployment, maintaining scripts and best practices for customr-facing data services. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1B status), F1, OPT etc. will not be considered. This paid internship is an onsite position at our Blaine, MN headquarters (not on the bus line). Initiall assignment will be for a duration fo six months, subject to extension. Availability 40 hours/week July - August and a minimum of 15 hours/week during the school year is required. Work schedule is flexibile between the hours of 6a and 6p.

Job Responsibilities

• Able to solve complex problems while prioritizing effectively and efficiently; determine when to escalate issues.
• Troubleshoot the Infinite Campus database and understand cloud hosted infrastructure.
• Follow department guidelines to perform data restores.
• Stay abreast with the constant upgrades and changes evolving through the Campus products
• Review Campus Update data conversion scripts and manual scripts targeted for production
• Access Infinite Campus production customer data in live sites adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines
• Other related duties as assigned

Background

• Working toward BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
• Have taken Data Structures or Advanced OO Programming
• Have taken at least one database course
• MySQL or MS SQL Server preferred
• Customer service experience required

Position must adhere to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines.
