OneGroup Business Risk Specialist (Job ID: 2733)

Hours/Week: 40 hours Location: US:NY:Syracuse

Minimum Pay Rate:

Relevant experience and education will be taken into consideration when determining actual starting pay rate.

Summary:
Business Risk Specialists are outside sales professionals responsible for generating new commercial insurance sales as well as additional OneGroup product offerings. Build and maintain a growing client roster while meeting sales and service standards with an emphasis placed on the quality of insurance solutions presented to the client.

Responsibilities:
-Meet with and regularly and proactively review client needs.
-Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas and across other company services to provide clients with effective presentations of insurance solutions.
-Understand and ability to sell consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects based on their needs, not on availability of any specific products.
-Use and maintain prospect and pipeline information within the agency CRM.
-Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
-Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
-Ability to acquire detailed client information for submission for underwriting, pricing, and presentation and to seamlessly transition new accounts to the client service team.
-Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
-Attend regularly and actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, seminars and events.
-Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments and across all affiliated companies for the purpose of maximizing cross-marketing opportunities.
-Participate in continuing education, self-education and credentialing.
-Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
-Perform other duties as required.
