Senior RF Test Engineer

Job Description:

The senior RF test engineer will be integrated into our development team and be responsible for the characterization of directly and externally modulated laser sources for up to 112Gbaud modulation rates. The candidate to also prepare samples for RF test, they may also work on upgrading existing RF laser characterization setups, and general laser characterization setups, as well as RF production test setups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • perform RF device characterization
  • maintain characterization systems
  • build and upgrade more capable systems
  • Purchase equipment. Ship and receive equipment.
  • work with the broader development team on analyzing test data.

    Job Qualifications:

    • MS, PhD degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, physics, optics.

    Other Special Skills:

    • experience with high speed equipment, cabling, impedance matching, etc.
    • knowledge of semiconductor laser workings
    • proficient in testing electrooptic devices
    • programming and automation skills such as Python and LabView
    • skilled in analyzing data (six sigma)
    • skilled in presenting data and collaborating with the development team
