Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for the processing furniture (RAW) and delivering to the appropriate areas of the production floor, as well as keeping accurate records of inventory. In addition, the Inventory Specialist (Aurora) is responsible for pulling components for jobs, shrink wrapping, and cycle counts. This position will also act as a back-up for the Receiving Coordinator, as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

30% Pull and deliver components to other departments for work orders.

15% Put away furniture from containers and Transfer Orders and pull raw furniture for work orders at our Union Springs facility, as needed.

10% Reading, sending, and replying to e-mails.

10% Putting away components from kiln carts.

10% Unpacking and delivering raw furniture to other departments for Work Orders.

5% Pulling components and wrapping them for shrink wrap jobs.

5% Creating Transfer Orders for shrink wrap items.

5% Back up person for the Receiving Coordinator.

5% Inventory Control – cycle counts, letting purchasing know when we are low on components.

5% Preparing and processing orders for shipping using ProShip, for small packages and Freight shipments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or GED

Special Requirements:

* Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Ability to read and interpret paperwork.

* Maintain consistent, dependable attendance

Equipment Used:

Computer, printer, photocopier, telephone, scanner, calculator, pallet jack

Computer software: Microsoft Outlook/Express, Word, ProShip, NetSuite, Paycom

Safety Equipment: Safety shoes

Physical and Mental Requirements:

* Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.

* Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

* Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, work on a computer, read or control machines or processes at a rapid pace that requires close coordination and fine adjustment.

* Ex. Attention to detail when pulling components for jobs, doing inventory, replying to detailed e-mails, counting and attention to detail when receiving components.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse with exposure to temperature changes, noise, potential for physical injury, and proximity to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.

Travel: Occasional (local)
