Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for an Energy Project Engineer to join our team in any of our upstate NY offices!


The Energy Engineer will specialize in all facets of demand side management for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings. Work includes performing energy audits, feasibility studies, and program work for NYSERDA and other clients.


Responsibilities

  • Perform energy audits.
  • Energy calculations.
  • Develop utility baselines.
  • Assist with energy master planning.
  • Assist in sustainability assessments and/or certifications.
  • Assist with energy feasibility studies.
  • Energy metering and data logging.
  • Energy modeling (spreadsheet and whole building software).
  • Travel for field work to document existing conditions will be required.
  • Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in the energy arena with an interest in conservation/greenhouse gas reduction.
  • Experience with the following is preferred:
    • Energy engineering/energy conservation.
    • Energy auditing.
    • Whole building energy modeling with software to develop energy saving analyses.
    • Working knowledge of HVAC load analysis software.
    • Mechanical design.
    • Project management.

Compensation: $85,000 - $104,000 DOQ.
