Overview

Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital), located in Southern Brooklyn, accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

PAGNY is recruiting for a full time Rheumatologist at H+H/South Brooklyn Health

    Provide care for patients with rheumatology related medical conditions directly via outpatient clinics
  • Provide rheumatology consults for the inpatient service
  • Manage administrative duties, including EMR documentation, timely billing for reimbursement, analysis of quality data and reports, attending meetings and serving on various committees as needed
  • Teach and mentor medicine residents, fellows and junior members of the medical team
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical School or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited university
  • Board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine
  • Active or NYS Medical License
  • Active, unrestricted DEA license
  • Cultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required
  • Previous experience working with an under-served patient population preferred
