Position Overview


We have an excellent full-time paid internship opportunity available for current college students who are majoring in Public Policy, Health Administration, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or a related field of study. This opportunity will allow the Intern to experience OCHIN's External Affairs department focusing on digital health including telehealth, eConsults, remote physiological monitoring, health care AI, and other virtual services by working on various related projects.

This is a temporary position working 20-40 hours per week starting April 24, 2024, the duration will be for 6 months. Work schedule may vary between the hours of 8:00am-6:00pm Pacific time. This is an hourly paid position at $20 per hour.

Training will be provided by OCHIN.


Essential Duties

  • Actively participating in learning opportunities and skill development opportunities for key federal and state digital health-related program(s).
  • Conduct programmatic research, participate in meetings, and prepare PowerPoints, notes, or summaries for team
  • Developing content and assisting in the management of social media platforms to engage with the community and stakeholders
  • Supporting the organization and execution of events such as webinars, workshops, or conferences related to digital health
  • Assisting in documenting processes, procedures, and outcomes related to resource center activities
  • Analyzing data related to website traffic, engagement, and trends to identify digital health insights and opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to contribute ideas and initiatives
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's or degree program.
  • Ability to work independently, think analytically and make sound judgements.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in healthcare and technical tools.
  • Keen attention to detail.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

To keep our colleagues, members, and communities safe, OCHIN requires all employees-including remote employees, contractors, interns, and new hires-to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine, as supported by state and federal public health officials, as a condition of employment. All new hires are required to provide proof of full vaccination or receive approval for a medical or religious exemption before their hire date.


Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
