Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee technical support operations for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

Provide overall management and technical leadership for network operations. Lead and oversee the on-site support for the operation of all computer facilities, network segments, and hardware and software. Oversee day-to-day management of IT processes, including performance management, plan monitoring and evolution, metrics development, and management. Recommend infrastructure improvements and work with technical and management team to develop plan for implementing improvements. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. Maintain computer operations, network, and telephone capabilities by utilizing a combination of internal resources as well as external vendors. Design, implement, and ensure efficient system maintenance plans and ensure compliance to all disaster recovery plans. Perform appropriate tests and provide training to upgrade product quality and standardize all artifacts. Assist technical staff to check and ensure resolution of all issues to achieve all objectives. Provide backup for recovering systems. Provide oversight and guidance to the operations team. Act as the alternate Program Manager when the Program Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

5+ years IT Operations Center Management experience. Must be Help Desk Institute Support Center Manager (HDI-SCM) and ITIL v3 Foundations certified. Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams of various technical skill levels supporting an enterprise network. Demonstrated experience with help desk operations. Demonstrated experience with investigating and successfully implementing and integrating of new technologies into an enterprise network. Experience managing personnel in the following areas: storage technologies, enterprise security, network management, desktop and server operating systems, directory services, unified communications, wireless technologies, application distribution technologies, and internet services. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
